Law of Ueki

June 14, 2008

Probably one of the wierdest anime I have ever seen. Ridiculous on the verge of stupid dialogues  leaves me laughing my heart out. I mean people, how does garbage become a tree? towels into steel? Definitely a series worth investing if you need a nice good laugh!
The Law of Ueki is a riotous, free-wheeling, action-packed series that combines elements from Harry Potter and Highlander. Its developed by Toshifume Kawase based on the manga by Tsubasa Fukuchi. It really is a fantasy saga that dares to sink low in order to reach new heights. Let the tournament begin.

Gundam Seed Destiny

June 13, 2008

Probably one of the best action drama anime ever released! Set in a universe of melancholic ambience and backdraft. Deception, betrayal and loyalty seemed synonymous in this ever flawless piece of animated story telling. Definitely worth keeping!

The Cosmic Era 70 tragedy, ‘Bloody Valentine’, escalates into war. However, the Earth Alliance and Zaft reach a truce - but this doesn’t end the Naturals and Coordinators’ conflicts. Shin Asuka lost his parents and little sister during the war. Seeing a Gundam fly overhead as he grips a cell phone - his only memento of his loss, he decides to become a Zaft soldier.

Jade Empire

June 12, 2008

Another game released by Bioware Corporation. I am a huge fan of the previous installment of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 and Neverwinter Nights. What separates these three games from the rest, is the richness and complexity of each game’s storyline. Careful transition between plots seemingly creates a flawless Jade Empire gameplay. If you want to experience a new genre of digital storyling, I definitely recommend this one!!!

Jade Empire follows the style of the wuxia genre and is based in a mythical setting inspired by ancient China. The player (who can be either male or female) progresses through an adventure based on traditional martial arts, and he or she is able to discover and develop new fighting styles (either martial arts, weapon styles, magic styles, support styles or transformation styles). During combat the player can switch between styles by hitting a pre-assigned direction on the D-Pad. Combat is not turn-based, but is in real time and gives players the ability to control how and when his character dodges or attacks. In this fashion the player has the ability to change styles during combat and possibly initiate a Harmonic Combo.

Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones

June 11, 2008

Obviously, this is NOT a new release! Still, one of the greatest games that ever graced the gaming realm. And definitely my FAVORITE of them all. The fateful year of 2006, the year I got a hold of a copy of the game. Time to move to the game, read on then…

The third chapter of Ubisoft’s continuing revival of the classic Prince of Persia series. The Prince of Persia, a seasoned warrior, returns from the Island of Time to Babylon with his love, Kaileena. Instead of the peace that he longs for, he finds his homeland ravaged by war and the kingdom turned against him. The Prince is rapidly captured and Kaileena has no choice but to sacrifice herself and unleash the Sands of Time in order to save him. Now cast out on the streets and hunted as a fugitive, the Prince soon discovers that past battles have given rise to a deadly Dark Prince, whose spirit gradually possesses him.

June 10, 2008

I am not a fan of the FPS game genre. But, this particular FPS made me change my mind. A phenomenal fourth installment of a war-action-game icon.

It is scheduled for release for Mac OS X in June 2008. It is the fourth installment of the Call of Duty video game series, excluding expansion packs.
